Flying Chickens
Martin never thought that his eccentric personal goal had such a central symbol with respect to himself and to all of humanity. He was the eldest of four brothers who worked in the fields with his father where they raised cows and pigs, where there were always chickens and hens, some to eat and others to provide eggs. And since he was a child, one idea obsessed him: the possibility of making chickens and hens fly. When his father died and he was left in charge of everything, something he managed with great ease, he saw the opportunity to execute all the ideas, resources, exercises and plans that he had thought about and perfected for years to achieve this feat in poultry. Something that went far beyond poultry farming or was the highest and most sublime poultry farming that could be imagined. He believed that this particular desire had been born from reading the first book that he was required to read at school? Of course: JUAN SALVADOR GAVIOTA! symbol of effort and resilience. But he was wrong. The desire had been born from many other books...
This complicated goal, of course, would never be achieved in one generation of chickens, but rather in the offspring of several generations after severe training and special feeding, which consisted of more protein than usual to produce more muscle mass in the wings and legs due to the exercise they would be subjected to. From the time they were babies, he chose them with much love and dedication for the experiment, asking God for guidance to choose the most naturally fit for their very particular destiny in the history of all the chickens in the world born until today. These were marked and separated from the rest, earning the title of "untouchable". Only in the first days the baby chicks were fed at ground level in the traditional way, but then the food and water were raised more and more, so that they had to jump and flutter to obtain vital substances. Then, when the chickens had already acquired feathers, he began a series of exercises that he did with his brothers and the farmhands. The first consisted of placing the chickens in trees so that they would become accustomed to the heights and the trees and to the audacity and need to launch themselves into flight for food at least until they fell asleep, with a height of up to 3 meters, the desperate flapping of the natural instinct to cushion the blow was the point sought, strengthening the muscles of the wings and legs when falling. Another exercise consisted of passing a roller inside a chicken coop designed especially for this exercise where if the chickens did not jump over the roller that came and went all the time, they were crushed. It was a spectacle to see the whole flock of chickens jump in unison over the log that was rising in height as time went by, reaching the highest of 1.30 cm. They did this for hours. At first they would stop for a second on the log, but then they would jump over the whole thing at once and it was the first satisfaction and the hopeful promise that they would succeed in their high goal. Another exercise that he made them do was to throw the chickens to each other, at first it was two meters but then they would move further and further away until they reached 10. An ethical obstacle had been placed between them all. Since these chickens, unlike the others, had to fight so hard in their lives, he would not eat them because it seemed doubly sadistic to him, they died of old age after a long life, nobody touched them. Progress was slow but encouraging, the chickens and hens walked on the roof of the house, flew from tree to tree, ventured far from their habitat, escaped from foxes, wild cats and ferrets, which were astonished by their flying. Walking, jumping, climbing, fluttering, and fluttering was the gradual and progressive staircase to literal flight, which was achieved after several years and countless generations of chosen chickens. The entire neighborhood and the city followed the process, veterinarians from all over the area came to corroborate what they were hearing, dazed, journalists also documented it and videos of flying chickens and hens went viral.
When the triumph was already evident, one morning when he woke up he heard a voice in his head that said: "What you do with your chickens, I do with humanity." It was the Lord Jesus himself. He informed him that it was in the reading of the Bible where his desire had been born, that it had rather been installed in him, although, if "I have the mind of Christ" is fulfilled, the limits of one mind and another become diffuse and blurred for the good of us. Inspired by the Lord, Martin meditated that what he had done was like a perfect metaphor of what God does, always choosing the smallest and most insignificant to carry out a complex work, humiliating the proud and arrogant. An old man in Ur, the tiny Israel, the little David, the Son of a carpenter to dominate what was imposed arrogantly by his opponents to make the human towers fall higher human beings but then higher up too, in the celestial planes, where conflicts are truly born because "we do not fight with flesh but with powers in the celestial planes." In the Bible many times God makes his prophets do symbolic or metaphorical actions or makes them observe things like the action of a potter, to explain what He will do in the future with his people, as an intermediate way of passing it to reality. And the miraculous flight of Martin's heroic chickens and hens was the luminous omen that he would be successful in his complicated work on this planet Earth of not saving man because of what he is, but because of what he can become! GLORY TO GOD! THE END AND Merry Christmas
